Keren Murray to step down as Chair of Stella
After 7 years on the board, Keren Murray is stepping down from her role after this year’s winner announcement in May.
The Stella team and Board thank Murray for her leadership, advocacy and vision for the organisation and the Prize.
Fiona Sweet, CEO of Stella said: “Keren has made extraordinary contributions to Stella. She has supported past and present staff, and her bold vision and hard work has made Stella a leader in the cultural sector. Keren helped to establish the Stella Forever Fund to secure the Prize in perpetuity.”
Keren said: “During my time at Stella, I’ve been honoured to be part of a community who believe in the power of Australian women and non-binary people’s writing to change our culture. Stella is truly a collective endeavour. Thank you to all the rabble rousers passionate about gender equality who are committed to making a difference. I know I leave Stella in safe hands.”
