Join writer and critic Declan Fry and the winner of the 2024 Stella Prize for lunch, a glass of wine and a wonderful conversation about Australian literature, the Stella Prize and the winning book.
Declan Fry is a recipient of the 2023 Hilary McPhee Award, exploring gender and the work of McKenzie Wark, the 2021 Peter Blazey Fellowship for his writing on Elijah Doughty and the music of Ziggy Ramo, and a winner of the 2021 Griffith Review Emerging Voices Competition. In 2022 he was nominated for the Pascall Prize in criticism. His latest work is a poetry collaboration with Craig Santos Perez in Woven (Magabala). His poetry has been shortlisted for the Judith Wright Poetry Prize and selected for The Best Australian Science Writing 2021.

Cheryl Leavy is from the Kooma and Nguri Nations in western and central Queensland. The 2022 winner of the Oodgeroo Noonuccal Poetry Prize, Cheryl has performed at the Brisbane and Byron Writers Festivals, Queensland Poetry Festival and with Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra. Cheryl is currently working on a children’s book based on her poetry.
