2026 STELLA PRIZE EARLY-BIRD ENTRIES NOW OPEN
The Stella Prize is a major literary award celebrating Australian women and non-binary writers. The prize is awarded annually to one outstanding book of fiction, non-fiction or poetry. For the first time, published books can now be self-entered by authors, as well as by publishers.
We're delighted to announce that in 2026, the Stella Prize money has increased, and the winner of the prize will be awarded $60,000. Shortlisted authors will each receive $5,000 and longlisted authors will each receive $2,000.
The winner of the 2026 Stella Prize will join thirteen years of Stella alumni. We look forward to announcing the 2026 Stella Prize longlist in March, the shortlist in April, and the winner in May.
