Louise Swinn is a writer, publisher, critic, literary event chair and the editor of Choice Words: A Collection of Writing About Abortion (Allen and Unwin, 2019). Her work appears regularly in the Age, the Australian and the Sydney Morning Herald. She was one of the founders of Sleepers Publishing, the Small Press Network and the Stella Prize.
Monica Attard spent 28 years at the ABC, working across radio and television, including as a host on Media Watch. She was the ABC’s Russia correspondent for four years, and published the book Russia, Which Way Paradise? in 1997. She has received five Walkley Awards, including Gold for excellence in journalism. Monica is now head of Journalism at UTS, Sydney.
Jack Latimore is a senior editor for NITV News and a columnist for the Guardian. He was previously an Indigenous researcher with the Centre for Advancing Journalism. His journalism work has appeared in Koori Mail, The Guardian Weekly, ABC radio and television, Overland, Sydney Morning Herald, Crikey, GQ magazine, Griffith Review, Inside Story, Swampland, Croaky, and for the World Health Organisation. His other writings have appeared in Best Australian Stories 2016, Growing Up Aboriginal in Australia, Best Summer Stories 2018, and elsewhere.
Zoya Patel is the author of No Country Woman, a memoir of race, religion and feminism. She is the Founding Editor of feminist journal Feminartsy, and former editor of Lip Magazine. Zoya was Highly Commended in the 2015 Scribe Non-Fiction Prize, was the 2015 ACT Young Woman of the Year, and was the recipient of the 2014 Anne Edgeworth Young Writers Fellowship.
Leni Shilton is a poet, educator and researcher from Alice Springs. She has a PhD in creative writing and is the author of two books: Walking with Camels and Malcolm (UWA Publishing). Leni is a founding member of the Ptilotus Press, a publishing initiative that supports Central Australian writing.
