Initiatives

Stella supports writers and drives cultural change through a year-round program of programs and initiatives.

From long-running research initiatives such at the Stella Count, to a range of workshops and resources for teens and teachers – Stella delivers a suite of year-round programs which actively champion Australian women writers, tackle gender bias in the literary sector, and connect outstanding books with readers.

Find out more about our range of current and past initiatives below.

Writers’ Residencies

Stella is committed to providing writers with the conditions and opportunities they need to produce their best work.

Research

At Stella, we believe that quality research plays a crucial role in driving systemic change.

Teens + Teachers

Stella’s work with teens and teachers seek to inspire and empower young people to find their own creative voices, challenge gender stereotypes, and participate in the world of books and reading.
